GENERAL ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS

To apply to Blanche Macdonald, you must:

• Have successfully completed High School or an acceptable equivalent, or be at least 19 years of age;
• Submit a completed Application form to the Blanche Macdonald Centre; and
• Complete an interview with an Admissions Director (for applicants who live out of town or out of the country, interviews can be conducted over the telephone). 

ESL (English as a Second Language) students must provide proof of their English language skills and meet the Blanche Macdonald Centre English Assessment requirements before acceptance into their chosen program. TOEFL or TOEC scores must be forwarded to the school, or an internal English proficiency test will be administered.

To be considered officially enrolled in a Program, all Applicants must:

• Meet the above criteria;
• Pay a Tuition deposit in full; and
• Sign their Official Enrolment Agreements

Letters of Acceptance for Funding or Immigration purposes will be issued once the above criteria have been met.

Admission Policy

Blanche Macdonald Centre is committed to enrolling students who meet program admission requirements and who are likely to succeed in achieving their education and career goals.

Neither the Blanche Macdonald Centre nor the applicant may waive the admission requirements.

Admission Requirements for all programs (except Fashion Design, Fashion Design Co-op, Global Marketing: Fashion and Social Media, Global Marketing:  Fashion and Social Media Co-op, International Makeup Foundations and International Makeup Studio):

• Must be high school graduate or 19 years of age or older at the start of the student’s program of study.
• Proof of English skills for ESL applicants: Blanche Macdonald Centre English Assessment 21+/30, IELTS 5.5+, TOEFL iBT 55+

Admission Requirements for Fashion Design and Fashion Design Co-op programs:

• Must be high school graduate or 19 years of age or older at the start of the student’s program of study.
• Proof of English skills for ESL applicants: Blanche Macdonald Centre English Assessment 21+/30, IELTS 5.5+, TOEFL iBT 55+
• Must submit a garment constructed entirely by student or attend Blanche Macdonald Centre Basic Sewing Course.

Admission Requirements for Global Marketing:  Fashion and Social Media and Global Marketing:  Fashion and Social Media Co-op programs:

• Must be high school graduate or 19 years of age or older at the start of the student’s program of study.
• Proof of English skills for ESL applicants: Blanche Macdonald Centre English Assessment 24+/30, IELTS 6.0+, TOEFL iBT 65+

Admission Requirements for International Makeup Foundations, International Makeup Studio and International Makeup Studio Co-op programs:

• Must be high school graduate or 19 years of age or older at the start of the student’s program of study.
• Proof of English skills for ESL applicants: Blanche Macdonald Centre English Assessment 15+/30, IELTS 4.5+, TOEFL iBT 40+
