Since I was young, I have had a love for fashion and marketing and knew I wanted to work in the industry. After spending a few years working in retail both as an associate and a manager I decided it was time to go back to school. My decision to go to Blanche was one of the best I ever made. In the Global Marketing Program, I was able to meet people who were excited about fashion and marketing in the same way I was, something I had not been able to do much before. I enjoyed all my classes and felt strongly supported by all my peers and teachers.

After graduation, I started working as an Account Executive Assistant for the ladieswear brand Tribal. Working with a small team, we sell to retailers across Western Canada. I started with the brand a little over a year ago and have enjoyed every minute of my role. I have also learned that no two days are the same in the wholesale industry.

Tribal releases seasonal collections (Spring/Summer & Fall/Winter) and I help sell them, starting with showcasing samples in the showroom. The selling seasons are January-March and July-October. I travel the Prairies for tradeshows and store setups, building relationships with clients. Between seasons, tasks vary from paperwork to events and store visits. Meeting customers who love Tribal is a highlight, as they are excited to see us and talk about the brand.

My role is diverse – selling, merchandising, and even social media. Every fashion and marketing class I took at Blanche has helped me in one way or another.
